VURA SBR
Features
- It is multipurpose & economical product, easy to use
- It prevents cracking by improving flexural strength
- It Improves the hardness & prevents dust generation
- Reduces drying & aging shrinkage cracks
- Bond strongly to concrete, masonry, stonework, plasters, cementitious surfaces
- Improves erosion resistance & prevents corrosion
- Improves abrasion resistance of the cement mix
Usage Guide
SURFACE PREPARATION
- All surfaces should be clean from dust, free from contamination, efflorescence and curing compounds. Application should be made on damped surface.
- Before application surface should be in good condition.
- Always add powder to latex.
APPLICATION
SLURRY BOND COAT
- For a slurry bond coat of VURA SBR mix with Cement in the ratio 1:1
- Brush apply 1 continuous coat of the mix on the prepared concrete substrate
- Ensure to overlay the repair mortar when the bond coat is still tacky
MORTAR & RENDER MODIFIER
- A suitable mix ratio for patching repair mortar or render is as follows:
- For a Repair Mortar of VURA SBR mix with Cement and Sand in the ratio 1:2:6
FLOOR SCREED & PLASTER ENHANCER
- A suitable mix ratio for Floor Screed and Plaster Enhancer is as follows:
- For Floor screed and plaster enhancer of VURA SBR mix with Water, Cement and Sand in the ratio 1:1:5:15
MIXING & APPLICATION
- A forced action mixer is essential & recommended to ensure that VURA SBR mortar is thoroughly mixed. Use a suitable sized drum with heavy-duty electrical drill machine fitted with spiral paddle mixer at slow speed of 400-500 rpm
- Hand mixing is permissible only for 25 kg or less quantity
- Charge the mixer with required quantity of clean & dry sand (or coarse aggregates as needed), cement & mix for 1-2 minutes, then add the recommended dosage of VURA SBR dispensed in water which is pre-batched. Mix for 2-3 minutes to avoid air entrapment. Keep on slowly adding water until the required consistency is achieved
